a birthday wish

A recent headline directed me to this little girl and her 9th birthday wish. She learned about charity water through her church and decided that instead of birthday presents she wanted people to donate money. She was touched by what Charity Water was doing for people around the world and decided she wanted to help. Her goal by her 9th birthday was to get people to donate $300. I know about this little girl's goal because of the news article and she was featured in the news article because of her death. The little girl, Rachel, was in a car accident before she had the chance to reach her 9th birthday. As of today, Rachel has 50 more days until her 9th birthday and her goal of $300 has already been reached...and surpassed...it is currently $865,585! Amazing huh?! Not only have the people donating been touched by Rachel and her wish, an estimated 43,296 people have also been affected by her wish by receiving clean water... and just a quick fact I saw...4,900 kids will die today because of water related illnesses. What a blessing she was and continues to be!
